In order to arrive in Barga, you should first of all reach Lucca, easily accessed from the Florence-Pisa highway (a.k.a. Firenze-mare).

Once passed the pay-toll you will turn left (Viale Europa), continue on the bridge over the railroad, and proceed straight on Lucca’s ring road (keeping the city ramparts on your right). You will follow Viale Papi, Viale del Prete, passing Piazzale Martiri della Libertà, and finally hit Viale Batoni. On Viale Batoni keep the left lane in order to turn left after the roundabout on via Civitali. On Via Civitali proceed straight after the first traffic light and then bear right at the end of the road on Via del Brennero.
The rest will be quite easy.
At the end of this long stretch of road (approx 7 km) which coasts the river Serchio (even though you don’t see it), before Ponte a Moriano, it is advisable to turn left on the bridge (the junction is well marked). Follow the road past the town of Borgo a Mozzano. The first bridge across the river will take you back on the right bank of the river, which is also the right one for Barga. Before the town of Fornaci di Barga you will see indications for Barga, which at this point will be 4 km away.
The parking lot is just outside the main door of the ancient walls, about 70 meters far from Casa Cordati. There is another one 100 meters further.
Barga is a small village, anyway, so wherever you park you will be quite near to Casa Cordati.
By train the line is Pisa or Lucca/Aulla, the station is Barga/Gallicano. From there you can reach Barga by taxi or bus; or, if I can I will come to pick you up.
You can reach Barga also by bus from Lucca. The bus stop (“il Fosso”) is near Casa Cordati (about 50 metres).
Pisa Airport is less than 60 kilometres from Barga. And also Florence Airport is near and well connected to Lucca. In town everyone knows Casa Cordati. Anyway, the exact address is: Via di Mezzo 17: a few dozen meters after entering the Porta Reale, which is the first gate you will see arriving to Barga.
The arrival time is not a problem. I live here and anyone can arrive any time after two p.m. I will therefore be happy to welcome you until late at night. I will tell you where to park, if you have a car.
I will give you the keys and I will explain a bit about the house. You will have your private apartment or private room and I will be on hand to offer practical advices.
